Dear colleagues,
As residents of the Okanagan Valley, many of us are either aware of, or have personally experienced devastation caused by past wildfires in our region. As fire season approaches, I am pleased to remind you that the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science is hosting environmental advocate Edward Struzik to discuss wildfire, its impact on air and water quality, and how communities can live with fires that are burning bigger, more often and increasingly putting people in harm’s way.
